Day 4

I am hungry. Crap!

I did so good today!  I made myself a veggie and chicken whole wheat wrap for lunch with a bit of fat free yogurt and half a cup of skim milk.  I tried my Want More Energy? stuff for the first time today - it tasted to good!  It definitely gave me a boost at work.

I fought off my desire to have just a handful of popcorn while I was at work and I was able to get 60oz. of water in! That is a huge deal for me because a) I don't like water and b) I never, ever drink the stuff! So total today, I drank almost 80oz. of water.  I should be drinking closer to 100oz - but the night is still young!  Maybe I'll make myself one more tall glass before bed.

But despite all the success today, I'm feeling hungry.  I'm a little disappointed.  I was hoping that I had gotten rid of the hungry feelings since I felt so good last night.

I will go to bed soon... and I hope that tomorrow is another great day (minus the hunger!)

Day 3

So, day 3 is almost over and I'm still feeling pretty great.  I took Sam for a walk this morning, since it was so beautiful outside!  I had to mix up my shakes today, since I was going out of town in the evening.  I ended up having a shake for breakfast and a shake for lunch.

My dinner was a disaster!  My mom and my aunt insisted on a fast food place and there was absolutely NOTHING on the menu worth my while.  I feel like I keep making "excuses" when it comes to my meals.  I just want to stick to the program already!  At least I've completely eliminated any kind of snacking from my daily routine - I didn't realize how often I'd have "just one bite" of Halloween candy or a cookie.

On a brighter note though, I'm not feeling hungry at all tonight.  Don't know if it had more to do with having my meal at dinner instead of lunch or if my body is just getting used to this new strategy.

I did buy some awesome food for this week: I got some fresh tomatoes, yummy mushrooms and a nice red pepper.  I also got some mixed greens and some calorie-wise salad dressing.  I bought some extra virgin olive oil as well - I'm not quite convinced that it mixes well with vinegar on a salad, but it's worth a try!  I plan to eat lots of veggies and chicken this week!  I tried to get some fish, but the only kind my grocery store had was rainbow trout and talapia - yuck! I also got myself some fat free yogurt and skim milk!

I will try to make an effort to have more balanced meals from now on - I really want to succeed on this program and I really, really, really want to get the best results possible!

Day 1: Feeling OPTIMISTIC!

Here we are. Half way through day 1.  I feel really great!  I had heard some awful things about how the shakes and snacks tasted.  After having tasted almost everything in my 30 day cleanse pack, I am happy to report that none of it is that bad.  I did get goosebumps drinking the Ionix Supreme, but I am REALLY hoping that I'll just get used to it and it won't be so bad in the future. *Crossing fingers*

I think my choice for lunch was no ideal, but it wasn't awful either.  I haven't had a chance to plan out a really nice grocery list to help me on this journey, so I had to make due with what I have. So I had some left-over beef and rice casserole with a bit of corn, green peppers, onion and mushrooms.  I tried to keep my portion as small as I could while feeling full.

My belly is a little achy and I've had to run to the bathroom a few times (TMI, I know!) but I read on a support group yesterday that an achy belly means that the Isagenix products are doing their job!

I guess I should add my measurements at day 1.  Can't wait to see the transformation!

Height (for reference) 5'6"
Weight: 197.6
Neck: 14"
Arms: 15"
Chest: 41.75"
Waist: 35"
Abdomen: 44.75"
Butt: 46.5"
Thighs: 27.5-28"
Calf: 16.75-17"

I would add my "before" pictures right about now... but my computer has been one big headache all week!  It may be time for a new one very soon. I will post my pictures as soon as I can!

Stay tuned, everyone!  This is bound to be an exciting ride! :)

Day 2

Alright, let me be honest here...  Last night, I got hungry.  I got really, really, REALLY hungry.  I felt pretty beaten and I felt like I couldn't really do this whole thing another 29 times... I went to bed early and HUNGRY.

Day 2 started out better then day 1 ended.  I woke up before my son, had my Ionix Supreme (which I HATE - it gives me shivers every time!  I have to chug it or I'd never get through it), made my shake and sat down at the computer while sipping away.  The shakes are really so yummy!

When I weighed myself right after getting up, I was down 3.4lbs.  I know, I should hide my scale, but I'm addicted! haha I weigh myself like 4 times/day!  I will keep my mind open to fluctuation and not get too disappointed if the numbers go up a little this week. But really - How FANTASTIC is that number?!

For lunch, I had some rice, garlic shrimp and scallops. I shared my portion with my son and didn't even finish my plate.  I'm not big on calorie counting, but I figure if my portion is reasonable and the fat content is pretty low, I'm probably okay.  I should definitely be more careful about how many fruits and veggies I have - right now, I barely have any!

Here are my before pictures, taken on day 1... I don't know why it didn't occur to me to fix my hair! SORRY!!!  These pictures are pretty nasty and a SERIOUS wake-up call!

"Hello? WAKE UP!"

Tonight, at the very end of day 2, I am feeling a little hungry.  Not nearly as hungry as I was last night, so that's leaving me pretty optimistic.  I may go to bed early again, but only because I know tomorrow I will wake up feeling so much better then I do now!

Where my journey began

I wanted to write a little about myself, who I am and how I got here.

I am a 24 year old french-canadian woman living in Western Quebec with my sweet, sweet 15 month old boy.  I have always struggled with my weight.  When I was 16, I joined Weight Watchers with my mom and dropped 20lbs within a few months, which put me a little bit above my "perfect" weight.

As time went on, I slowly gained an average of 10lbs/year.  When I got pregnant at 22, I weighed 180lbs.  I watched every single thing I put into my mouth and lost 10lbs during my first trimester.  I gained a total of 20lbs during my pregnancy (which is so amazing!) and I left the hospital with 3lbs to loose. As time went on, I lost another 10lbs.  I give the credit to my amazing breastfeeding relationship with my son.

I have gained all of it back. And then some!  It blows my mind sometimes that I have gained so much weight in such a short period of time (25lbs in 5-6 months).  When I saw Amy's post about a product that could change my life, I hesitated a little bit because of the cost.  But I am SO glad I jumped in with both feet.

I can definitely feel the changes in my body and in my eating habits.  I am totally conscious of what I am putting in my mouth and I am able to completely resist my cravings - that may be the hardest part!

I hope you all enjoy following me as I go through the ups and downs of cleansing my body of toxins and loosing some weight!  I am convinced that Isagenix is the product that will help me achieve all my goals!
